Bakula x Madeleine Tonzi : Other Places

Classic Cars West presents Other Places, a two person exhibition featuring the work of Oakland-based artists Bakula and Madeleine Tonzi. Other Places explores concepts of place and the boundaries within.

Through an imaginative geographic visual language, the paintings of the two join in a dialogue of what it means to carry our past into the future, expressing a sense of nostalgia, euphoria, wonderment, and inquiry for the environments we traverse.

Collaboratively, their paintings conjure an uncanny essence, something otherworldly yet strangely familiar.
